Sir Alan Sugar, 'you're hired!'
Secretaries of State Ed Balls (DCSF) and John Denham (DIUS) held an informal discussion, with a handful of respected apprentices’ employers and training providers.
This was an opportunity to explain to the ministers how Apprenticeships impact on their day to day work.
Billy Moore and Sue Irons from Central Hairdressing Academy along with Gabby Harris from Headlines Hairdressing, were there to speak on behalf of the Hairdressing industry.
There was a real buzz in the air when the ministers announced a special guest would be joining us at each table to listen to what we had to say and answer any questions we had.
The special guest was none other than Sir Alan Sugar.
Billy Moore said “Sir Alan has been employed as the new face of Apprenticeships, he has always been a hero of mine and it was great to sit around a table and discuss the business of apprentices with him.
The morning was a great insight into the future of apprentices and the future is a bright one.”
Sir Alan you’re definitely hired.
